I just tried the Wii.
I must have one.
Must.

Amusement Art
So, what happens when you attach an air compresser, rubber tubing, and buckets of paint to a scrambler and turn it on?You get something like a combination of a Spirograph and amusement park ride, and one HUGE work of art. This had to have been fun to produce! It's fun just to think about.
Artist Rosmarie Fiore came up with the idea of Scrambler Drawings, and the exhibit was installed at the Queens Museum in Flushing, NY.

Help! My music is being held hostage by my iPod!

So you've spent countless hours putting together the perfect music library, your computer crashes, and you learn that iTunes won't let you take your files off your iPod onto a different computer (it won't!) Or, say you want to listen to your music library from a computer other than the one it is registered to -- you paid for that music, you should be able to, right?
Enter Music Rescue -- a sweet little program from Kennetnet Software in the UK. Simply install it (either on your computer or your iPod,) run it, and access your music anywhere. It will copy your files from your iPod and load them into your iTunes (you will have to reauthorize your iTunes store tracks, first.)

It's a free trial. If you like it, fork over the $18 for a registered copy.

Personal Trains on Abandoned Light-Rail Tracks

I always wanted something like this as a child!
The French association, Hehe, has come up with some concept "personal trains" intended to be used on abandoned light-rail tracks. They have several concepts and even some prototypes that are in the works. My favorite is the flying carpet design by Tapas Volant (picture above.) You can see a video of it in use here. It's so funny watching peoples' reactions as he rides his little cushion through town.

India
I found this lunchbox at Archie McPhee, and had to have it. An art teacher needs a funky lunch box, right? It's almost too cool to use just for lunch.
