Mango

We go through a lot of mangoes at Casa de Chaos. My family usually won't eat anything "weird" but I have gotten them to try and like my mango salsa.

You really have a great eye when it comes to photography. I've never had a mango before... not sure why. We just sampled star fruit for the first time this past summer. I'm a slow fruit-try-er, I guess.

Nice mango! Sorta looks like a tit.
I think I'll refer to tits as "mangos" from now on.

I really like your perspective on things!

BG -- The mango salsa is awesome! Whenever my friends all get together, I'd better bring mango salsa and shrimp tacos or there will be hell to pay. :)

ETW -- It's a pretty easy-to-love fruit. Its texture is sort of like a peach when it's ripe, and the flavor is sort of orange-pineappley. I'm surprised my husband will eat it, because he's finicky to the point of ridiculousness.

SH -- Well, it is kind of ... er... perky, isn't it? :)

I have a love/hate relationship with mangoes. I really want to love them, but alone (unlike my Colombian husband) I don't care for them much.

Now a hot sauce with mango -- yum! I will definitely have to try some mango salsa. Of course, much to my hubby's dismay, I must add some hot pepper, preferably hab.

Mmmmm... a spicy mango sweet/hot combination would be tasty. That's why I love the mango salsa.

I think mangoes are an acquired taste. I didn't like them at first. You have to find them at just the right ripeness, too -- right when they start to get dark "freckles." Otherwise, they're kind of bitter-tasting and not very sweet. But wait too long and they're mushy. Bleh.
