Just in Time for Halloween!

Excuse me while I advertise a bit -- these adorable dolls are made by local artists and friends Amy Williams and Mark Wolfe. Cool people + adorable, adoptable art = something I just had to share!

From mummies to minions... there's a new set of Kreetures available for adoption at Taylor Books. And they're here just in time for Halloween! Artists Mark Wolfe and Amy Williams have designed and created a hand-made line of monsters and dolls called KreetureComforts. The collection includes space cadets,little devils, owls, sea creatures and punk dolls also. The dolls have previously sold online at Etsy.com, as well as at the Bluegrass Kitchen in Charleston and in Columbus, Ohio. They've even made cartoon zines ofthe dolls. All the kreetures are looking for a home near you... so adopt one (or two or three) now!

I'm not really here... just wanted to upload these cool photos of some kids' building toys before taking off again for Nashville.

Anybody know what these toys are called? My kids loved them. Heck, I loved them! We all played with them at Edventure in Columbia, South Carolina -- even the grownups! I need to buy some.
