Spiderweb

This is the home of my creepy new friend.

Spiders are so neat. It amazes me just how precice some spiderwebs can be. Even with the little imperfections, it's impressive how every row of silk is placed almost the same distance apart, and all this is done in nature, without rulers or levels or calculators or AutoCAD, with the breeze blowing and a human family barbecuing just a couple feet away.

Nature is amazing.

Calla

My white callas have finally come up. I think I have a couple yellow and pink that are getting ready to open soon. We finally got some rain, so they should be pretty happy, now. I keep them watered, but everything in my yard seems to do better when it actually rains.

Beautiful Nature

I have no idea what kind of bird this feather came from, but it was about as long as my forearm and shiny, like satin. It was a huge feather!

Tree Shadows on Ice

It was still ice on Saturday. I think it's melted by now, though. Come on, Spring!!!
