More from The Clay Center

I love this photo, even though the face is slightly blurred. This is my youngest, Jonathan. He LOVES the "ball machine" in the lower level of the Clay Center. Saturday, we sat there for maybe a good 45 minutes watching the balls roll around inside the kinetic sculpture, a sort of Rube Goldberg-like gizmo that sends the ball on a neverending ride through rails, conveyor belts, turnstiles, and just about every other method of getting from point A to point B. Jonathan enjoyed anticipating when the conveyor belt would pick up a new ball and start the process all over again. He was standing there saying "Here it comes!" when I took this picture. I love the look on his face, like "are you watching this?!?!?"

Awwww. He's so cute. My little guy would love that ball machine too. Maybe when I finally make it to Charleston, we can take the kids to the Clay Center together!

My son is nearly 10 years old and he adores that ball machine, too. We have to stand there for an eternity whenever we visit the museum.

DM -- absolutely! Let me know if you think you might ever make it, and we'll get together!

ETW -- That thing is just cool!

I love the Clay Center! I made a real cool movie once with the stop action center.
My Lego guy was run over by another Lego guy in a car.
It had that Kill Bill edge to it. I think I'm a genius in disguise...

Heh heh...
