White Branches

This tree is really gorgeous. I see it every day when I drive past it. It's so white and has such an interesting shape up against the dark background. My photography juju wasn't with me yesterday, though, so I'll have to shoot it again sometime.

I love those trees too.

They are just as majestic in the dead of winter as the are in the lively summer.

Is that a birch? That's the only tree that I know is so white.

I don't think it's a birch. It doesn't seem to have the texture to it that birch trees do.
It is incredible though.
I wonder what kind of tree it is?

I thought it was a birch, but I didn't see any of the papery bark with the dark brown spots common to birch trees. Of course, that bark comes off, so I'm not totally convinced it's not, as I don't know of any other trees that white.

I think it's a sycamore isn't it? Not sure. But I've been seeing a lot of those white, bare trees lately and I've been on the lookout for a good example with great lighting.
