Mmmmmmm... onions! I took a few shots in my kitchen while putting dinner together on Sunday. I love the satin-like, slightly irridescent sheen of onion skins.
This onion was especially tasty. Produce always seems to be so much better when it comes from the farmer's market, as opposed to the supermarket.

The second picture almost looks like a really old hardwood floor from an old farmhouse. Cool stuff.
I've thought often of the beauty of the majestic onion's flavor, Rebecca, but your photos show a physical beauty I'd never considered before. Onions make everything better. Everything.
That would make a great series of photos to frame and hang on my kitchen wall!
You're on a real streak of some truly fabulous photos! I'm a real fan of produce closeups (Rick Lee) anyway, but that is one nice looking onion!
