Happiness is...

... a breezeway full of tie-dye. :)

My students are working on tie-dying fabric to make a large quilt. I used to sew a lot but haven't done it since middle school. A parent donated a really awesome sewing machine, so I bribed my Mom with luch at Cilantros to get her to come to school and give me a refresher course in Home Ec. I remembered more than I thought I did, and sewing machines have gotten a lot less complicated! So, today I'm sewing, sewing, sewing, and thinking about starting some projects on my own. Sewing is something I've always wanted to learn, but never got around to trying.

See, you can teach an old dog new tricks!

I tie dye quilt!! That's awesome.

The last time I tried tie dye (in high school) I didn't wear gloves and my fingernails were stained until they grew out.

Followed your link from the forum. I'm learning to sew too, so I hope you keep us up to date on your progress.
