RIP Noodle Guy

The inventor of Cup Noodles, Momofuku Ando, has passed away. In 1958 he invented the ubiquitous noodly delicacy that we all know and love, hoping to create a convenient and inexpensive meal for the working class. His company, Nissin Foods, has grown into a huge and well-recognized corporation world wide and Cup Noodles have become a supermarket staple ever since.

Thank you, Mr. Ando. I couldn't have survived college without you. Rest in peace, my friend.

Oh lordy, I remember those things. Ate tons of 'em when I didn't have any money for REAL food. But RIP. After all, they helped many of us survive.

I still eat them, although I can now afford flashy lunches that cost upwards or 99 cents.

I haven't had them in years. That's gonna change now.
